Buses and trains in Värmland
Värmlandstrafik is responsible for regional bus and rail services. Most towns and villages have public transport links with Värmlandstrafiken yellow buses, at least one service per day. For timetables etc., please go to the Värmlandstrafik website.
The starting point for many Värmland walking trails is a long way from populated areas and bus stops. Access to a car (hire car) is therefore necessary to reach the starting point. Each starting point is clearly signposted.
Bear in mind, you will only find a petrol station in larger towns. Certain country stores have fuel pumps. Ask at the tourist office or where you are staying, if you need to find a petrol station.
