Description of Walk

Jäverön is a large island in Lake Vänern. You can reach the island by ferry, water bus or by private boat. Jäveröleden half island walk goes from the Jäveröleden starting point. Just south of Jäverögård take the trail signposted short cut to Ekorrviken. Jäverön has a working archipelago farm and a summer café. Free cycle hire in summer. The beautiful natural pastureland and waterside meadows are kept in trim by grazing cows, horses and sheep. The island is mostly wooded, with fine stony ground pine, spruce and deciduous trees.
